The duration of the course is of 2 years with each academic year spread over not less than 180 working days in addition to 500 hours practical training spread over a period of not less than 3 months.
D.Pharm is specifically designed to create professionals who will make a mark in the pharmaceutical industry. On completion of the programme the students can get registration as registered pharmacist and can run their own medical establishments.
Minimum qualification for admission to Diploma in Pharmacy
- 10+2 examination (academic stream) in Science, with PCB or PCM. or
Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examination.
- In case of admission on the basis of merit of marks in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Math and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Math and 40% for the 40% for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other & Special Backward Classes.
